Drain relining is specialist work. The equipment is expensive, the liner products require trained handling, and the cure process is specific to manufacturer requirements. Most plumbing businesses don’t want to carry the capital, the training burden and the ongoing liner inventory for a service that might make up 10-20% of their job mix.
Relining specialists do. This is a new Central Coast referral network and we are looking for the founding contractors to build it around.
What We Offer Trade Partners
A relining referral path for your clients. When your CCTV reveals root intrusion, cracked terracotta or a failing junction on a 1970s home in Gosford or Terrigal, send it through and we will look to connect it with an independent relining contractor, either as your subcontractor or as a direct referral, depending on how you want to structure it.
Your client stays yours. We’re a referral service for relining work, not a plumbing business. Nobody in this arrangement competes with you on general plumbing work, blocked drain call-outs, hot water, or fixture work. Your client relationship is protected.
Your diagnosis, not a second sales process. Your client has an active drain problem and has already had a camera in it. A trade referral should pick up where your CCTV left off, not restart the conversation. We do not publish a mobilisation time: how fast an independent contractor can attend is theirs to commit to, not ours.
Written reports that back your diagnosis. If your CCTV has already identified the issue, the footage can be reviewed and the job go straight to a relining quote. You get a written scope and confirmation that your diagnosis aligns with what the specialist sees, giving you documentation for your client.
What We’re Looking For in Partners
We work best with:
- Licensed plumbers (drainer’s licence or full plumbing licence) operating on the Central Coast
- Drain specialists with CCTV capability who regularly diagnose structural pipe damage
- Plumbing businesses that do blocked drain call-outs and want a trusted referral for the follow-on relining work
- CIPP liner experience preferred, if you’ve done relining before and want capacity support rather than full subcontracting, we can discuss that too
- Emergency response capacity, partners who can pick up a referral quickly when a client’s drain situation is acute
We are particularly interested in partners covering the northern lakes corridor (Wyong, Tuggerah, Toukley, Bateau Bay) and the Terrigal / Forresters Beach / Avoca Beach corridor, where this site’s search visibility is strongest.
The Central Coast Opportunity
The Central Coast LGA has an ageing housing stock problem that is generating substantial drain relining demand, and it will for another 20 years as 1960s-80s homes continue to age. Estimates from the national drain relining industry suggest that one in four homes built before 1985 will need some form of structural drain repair within the next decade.
That is a significant volume of work. A trade referral relationship with us costs you nothing and gives your clients access to a specialist service that keeps them coming back to you as their trusted first call.

FAQs for Trade Partners
Q: Do you pay referral fees? We discuss referral arrangements on a case-by-case basis depending on the relationship structure and volume. Contact us to talk specifics.
Q: Can I be present during the relining work? Absolutely, many trade partners prefer to be on-site for the first few jobs to understand the process and be confident in what they’re recommending to their clients.
Q: What if the pipe can’t be relined? Then relining is the wrong answer and everyone is better off knowing early. Where excavation is required, the client goes back to you for the replacement works; this site has no interest in holding onto a job it cannot help with.
Q: What insurance do you require of contractors? Current public liability cover and the insurances required for specialist drain relining works in NSW, evidenced before any referral is made. We do not hold or provide that cover ourselves; this is a referral service, and the contractor carries their own.
Q: Is there a minimum job size for subcontract work? Jobs range from a single point repair to a full-length residential reline. There’s no minimum job size for trade referrals.
