Central Coast Drain Relining

Privacy Policy

Central Coast Drain Relining is an independent referral service and does not perform or contract for the advertised work. Your enquiry may be referred to an independent contractor. Where licensing is required, the contractor's identity and licence details will be provided before you accept a quotation or enter a contract.

DRAFT — NOT YET PUBLISHED. NEEDS MARK’S REVIEW BEFORE IT GOES LIVE.

This page is noindex, nofollow and is deliberately not linked from the footer or navigation. It is a first draft of the portfolio-wide privacy policy template instantiated for this site. Three things need checking before it is published:

  1. Every factual statement below — particularly the analytics, retention and disclosure sections — against how the system actually behaves today.
  2. The disclosure section must match the live setting of auto_forward. It currently describes the disarmed state (enquiries are held, not forwarded). If the site is armed, this section changes.
  3. Whether a lawyer should see it. This is a plain-English draft written against the Australian Privacy Principles, not legal advice.

Once reviewed: remove this block, change robots to index, follow, and add a footer link.

Last updated: draft, not yet published.

Who collects your information

This website is operated by Mark A Jeanes, a sole trader (ABN 11 229 027 126), trading as Central Coast Drain Relining, a registered business name. Mark A Jeanes is the entity that collects and holds any personal information you provide through this site.

Central Coast Drain Relining is an independent referral service. It does not carry out drain relining, CCTV inspection or blocked drain work.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address and/or phone number, your suburb, and the description of your drainage problem, including anything you tell us about your property or a CCTV report.

The form asks for either an email address or a phone number, not both. You choose which.

Along with your submission we automatically record technical information: the page you submitted from, the date and time, and a spam score calculated from the content of the submission. The form also contains a hidden field that legitimate visitors never see or fill in; if it is completed, the submission is treated as automated spam.

We do not collect payment details through this site, and we do not ask for sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, and — where a suitable independent contractor is available — to refer that enquiry to them so they can quote the work. That is the only purpose.

Who we disclose it to

Right now, we do not forward enquiries to any contractor. Automatic forwarding is switched off while the service is being set up, so enquiries submitted today are received, screened and read by the operator only.

When forwarding is switched on, an enquiry may be disclosed to one independent contractor so they can contact you and quote the work. Your details are never sold, and never distributed to a panel of contractors to bid over. Where licensing is required for the work, that contractor’s identity and licence details are provided to you before you accept a quotation or enter a contract.

We also use service providers who necessarily handle the data in order to run the site: Cloudflare (website hosting and form processing) and Google Analytics (aggregate site usage — see below). We may disclose information where required by law.

We do not send your information overseas for any purpose other than the ordinary operation of those service providers, whose infrastructure is global.

Analytics and cookies

This site loads Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the quote form is being started and completed. This uses cookies and collects an abbreviated IP address. It is not used to identify you personally, and it is not linked to your enquiry.

The site does not run advertising trackers or remarketing pixels.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are stored in the operator’s database and in an archive so they can be answered, referred and — if a dispute arises — evidenced. Submissions identified as spam are retained in the same way so the spam filter can be checked and improved.

We do not currently operate a fixed deletion schedule. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will, subject to any record we are required by law to keep.

Accessing, correcting or withdrawing your information

Email [email protected] to:

  • ask what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • withdraw an enquiry and have your details deleted.

We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for making the request.

Security

Information submitted through this site is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-controlled systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

Complaints

If you think your privacy has been mishandled, email the address above first — we would rather fix it directly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
